Sensational Strangers : Priest and Shaman

“Sensational Strangers” is going to be a new series on my blog. When you see this title before the class names, it means that I saw an amazing transmog out in the wild, and was unable to catch the person’s name, or chat to them in the game. Because of this I do not take any credit for putting these transmogs together. I just want to show them off, because I think they are exceptionally well done, and it would be a shame for them not to be seen. If by any chance, the people who made these transmogs see this post and want to come forward, I would love to chat to you, and give you proper credit by character name on the blog.

I recently started playing on an RP server again. And while I do not really RP myself, it felt like coming home, as in the EU my main characters are on an RP server. I feel that a higher percentage of people are interested in transmog and care about who their character is, and how they look. As I am newly level 100 on my gnome, I am still farming armour pieces for a transmog I have put together, and hope to show off in the coming weeks. In the mean time, please enjoy these Sensational Strangers!

Priest:

This priest was stood outside the bank in Stormshield recently, and I was unable to make proper contact with her. I did take some screenshots though so that I could write about her very well executed Priestly look.

The item list is as follows:

Head: Valorous Crown of Faith
Shoulders: Ichor-Dripping Shoulderpads
Back: Cloak of the Shrouded Mists
Chest: Garments of Temperance
Hands: Gloves of Unfailing Faith
Waist: Sash of the Last Guardian
Feet: Splinterfoot Sandals
Weapon: Communal Staff

It can be difficult for Priests to look true to their class at times, as so often many armour models share similarities to the mage or warlock. This priest put together a light and bright look without falling back on the old tier 5 favourite, and I think she did very well indeed.

Putting together a look for my mage, I have also noticed that it is more difficult to mix and match as a cloth wearer. As most of the chest options are robes, finding belts that match (that are not part of the “set”) is difficult. The belts often chop us robe wearers in two, and I think here this one matches perfectly well and bypasses that issue.  Sensational Stranger number 1, thank you for the inspiration!

Shaman:

I came across this Sensational Stranger’s look through a Mogit link that was pasted in to the LFG channel, that people on my realm have started using as a world wide trade chat. I have a habit of ALWAYS clicking any Mogit link that I see appear. Usually the transmogs I see are well done, but a little expected and unoriginal. On this day however I was completely blown away and saved the link for later observation as I was in a dungeon at the time. dwarf.1 dwarf.4 dwarf.2

Item list:

Head: Tyrannical Gladiator’s Ringmail Helm
Shoulders: Spiritwalker’s Mantle
Chest: Grievous Gladiator’s Ringmail Armor
Wrist: Primal Gladiator’s Armbands of Prowess
Hands: Primal Gladiator’s Ringmail Gauntlets
Waist: Grunt’s Belt
Legs: Grunt’s Legguards
Feet: Mindstrainer Treads
Weapon: Cookie’s Tenderizer
Offhand/Shield: Prideful Gladiator’s Redoubt

This is an amazing mixture of PvE, PvP, old and new.  The shoulders may look familiar to you as I used them in my recent hunter transmog, but they are shaman shoulder’s at the core.  I love the tribal animalistic look that this outfit has, and it really looks amazing on this master dwarf. (They have amazing beards now after 6.1 don’t they?!)

Not only do the shoulders produce ghost wolf heads, but the shield also produces a ghost skull that appears out of it. All of this along with the amazing head gear sure would put the willies in to me if I came across this shaman in the wilderness.

As I had this transmog saved in Mogit, I had a little fun and looked at it with all the race models (not all female/male) that can be the Shaman class. Enjoy!

fem.dwarf.1 pandaren.1 draenei.1 fem.draenei.1 tauren.fem.1 tauren.2 troll.1This is hands down one of the best transmogs I have ever seen, and it uses items that are a lot older than I usually choose for my own transmogs. Older pieces do not have as high a pixel count and so often do not read well beside newer armour or against our beautiful new models. In this instance though, it all works to create this masterpiece. Sensational Stranger number 2, I think you win World of Warcraft transmog this week!
